At Stephen Yates Garden Design, we take both a transparent and consultative approach to garden design. Our successful process includes on-site client meetings, budget development, full documentation, technical specifications, drawings and where necessary the management of council submissions and architect plans.
PLANTING &
CONSTRUCTION
Crucial to the success of all garden design is the construction of the ‘hardscape’ elements, including retaining walls, water features, paving and lawned areas. With a cohesive team of quality tradespeople at our disposal we manageme the entire construction and planting process, from design approval through to delivery.

MAINTENANCE
Crucial to the longevity of any successful garden is the on-going maintenance and where required, further development. STEPHEN YATES
Stephen grew up in Roseville on Sydney’s north shore. The family garden was an early inspiration and featured Jacarandas, Maples, Camellias, an Illawarra Flame tree and a magnificent Cape Chestnut (Calodendron Capense).
“Over the years I have designed gardens and have experimented more and more with daring plant combinations. This of course requires the confidence of my clients, but I find they are always more than pleased with the results.”
Stephen qualified with a diploma of horticulture and a certificate of landscape design in 1984 and has been working in this creative field ever since.
